I am so excited to try out the Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lipsticks. First off I never actually believed in the packaging of a tube and a wand. I have always just purchased lipsticks. Another thing although it was so big was the actually believing a gloss like cosmetic can actually stay matte. Opening the package it came in a bubble envelope so the lipstick package was squished, no big deal nothing was broken. You get a few cute little items like the postcard and flyer for the collection you ordered.
My lipsticks were (top to bottom):
Beeper: Taupe
Lumière 2: mauve pink
Tulle: mauve burgundy
Rooch: red wine
Avenue: yellow red
LAX: vampy red
I have to say that my favorite is LAX and Avenue. I love red lipsticks I think they fit my skin tone the best. I have used all of the lipsticks already and I love all of them except Rooch. I don't know if it is because its from a collaboration or if there is anything different with it but this one dries and feels like sand. It did not look good and most of it came off really quickly. I loved the rest of them. When applying you have to make sure that your lips are dried and I lined my lips first then applied for the best look. You also have to work quickly since they dry within seconds. I ate, talked, drinked a couple of beverages and my lipstick was still there. You don't need to reapply if it is something light or non oily. They last at least 6+ hours. Im not sure if they all do but I wore Beeper to school the other day which was basically half a day. They leave a light stain if you do not wait for it to completely dry.
There are a few tricks or tips that you can follow to get the best results:
1. Don't reapply or over apply.
2. Using lip liners.
3. Exfoliate your lips.
4. Lips should be completely dry before application.
I love the color variety they have, they are affordable plus I believe you get free shipping on your order of $30 or more. They are always coming up with new products, colors, and collaborations. I definitely recommend these lipsticks because of the quality. I am looking forward to trying on more of their lipsticks. Compared to high end brands these are pretty close to quality and for the fraction of the price! Who can beat $6.
Have you guys tried anything from Colourpop Cosmetics?
