How to: Homemade Horchata (Rice Water)

What you will need:
2 Cups of Rice
4 Cups of Water
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Cups of Milk/ 1 can of Evaporated Milk
Vanilla Flavor (a few drops)
Sugar
Ice Cubes

First, you let the rice sit in water for 2 hours. Then you drain the water, Blend water, Milk, Cinnamon Sticks and sugar (if you like).

I usually let it sit for about 10 min on the blender to avoid getting excess rice and cinnamon on the pitcher.  You should be able to see the milk on top and the rice on the bottom. You can also use a strainer to avoid getting rice inside your pitcher.

After this, you pour onto a pitcher, add sugar to your taste and lastly add the ice. You can refrigerate for an hour before serving or simply add the ice. Enjoy!

PS. Please dont eat the rice or cinnamon. Leftover from blender must be thrown away :)

I have never tried horchata, but I am guessing that, since I am not a big fan of rice, that my answer would be "no". sweetbettysue at gmail dot com

For those who enjoy rice, it sounds like a healthy drink to try.

In order to get my hair that smooth feeling and shine I love using products that I can trust. I got the opportunity to try out the Enjoy Hair Moisture Plus Trio. This is great for damaged hair and you know you need this when the weather is changing. I have to say this is one of my favorite hair products so far. I love the Enjoy Hair Mask. My hair has never felt better. Though I do not have perfect hair and I use a flat iron and curler on my hair on a regular basis using this trio has made me feel like I can wear my hair down without using any heat. It gives my hair volume and it has a clean smell, if that makes any sense. My hair feels clean throughout the day and that makes me happy. The shampoo and conditioner are thick and silky so you don't have to use a lot of product to feel the difference. Overall I think these are great products, they are o...

For me keeping my dog Nala was one of the best decisions I have made. Nala is the daughter of my hubby's dog Buddy, she was 1 out of the 3 and I chose to keep her because she was so fluffy and cute I just couldn't resist. Nala's mother was a stray we took in after 3 days of seeing her roaming through our street she was only 4 months old. Anyways, hubby and I moved in to a small studio appartments close to the University so we coulnt have pets. Back then we didn't have any but Buddy so he stayed with my mother in law. After that Coco the 4 month old chihuahua was taken in. Then at 6 months she got preggo. She...
